As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our Product Development team at our manufacturing facility in Wetherill Park, Sydney.

You will play a key role in developing high-quality, handcrafted pastries and desserts — and will work closely under the guidance of our New Product Development Manager to help bring innovative ideas to life while upholding our signature flavours and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, tarts, cookies, and other baked goods with precision and consistency.
  • Collaborate with management and wider team on new product development.
  • Run trials, tastings, and sensory panels to perfect every creation.
  • Ensure all products meet Buonissimo's quality standards.
  • Ensure equipment and kitchen area is maintained to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of professional pastry experience (bakery or patisserie Formal qualifications are essential).
  • Display strong technical skills
  • Ability to follow recipes with precision, while also contributing creatively.
  • A proactive, adaptable team player with excellent time management skills.
  • Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Available Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
