About the role

THE PIEFATHER' is seeking an experienced Baker/Pastry Cook/Kitchen and cafe allrounder Hand to join our team in our Rosebery, NSW location. This is a casual role with the opportunity to work flexible hours. You will be responsible for the preparation and baking of a variety of high-quality pies, pastries and other baked goods to meet our customer demands.

A FULL TIME ROLE IS POSSIBLE TO THE RIGHT APPLICANT, some short weekend shifts will be required, please only apply if currently in Sydney.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and bake a range of sweet and savoury pies, pastries and baked goods to our exacting standards
  • Assist with general kitchen duties such as cleaning, stock rotation and food preparation
  • Work closely with the senior staff to ensure consistent product quality and presentation
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with food safety regulation

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years' experience as a Baker, Pastry Cook or Kitchen Hand in a commercial bakery or kitchen environment
  • A passion for baking and creating high-quality baked goods
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • A keen eye for presentation and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
