THE OPPORTUNITY

Sorted Digital Marketing is on the lookout for an experienced, passionate, and highly organised Senior Social Media Account Manager to join our growing team.

This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role perfect for someone who's ready to take the lead on managing a diverse client portfolio, collaborating with creative, community and strategy teams to deliver content that drives real results.

ROLE PURPOSE

Sorted Digital Marketing is an expanding Melbourne-based digital marketing firm. We work with a wide range of clients, from passionate start-ups to large family-run businesses and global franchises, across industries like fitness, building and trades, beauty and wellness, hospitality, and tech.

This role is all about developing and executing tailored social media strategies, working directly with clients and collaborating with our internal team to bring those strategies to life. You'll be responsible for setting the direction, ensuring it's actioned effectively with the support of our design, photography/videography, and community management teams, and continuously reviewing, refining, and staying ahead of trends to keep content sharp, aligned, and impactful.

Job title: Senior Social Media Account Manager

Reporting to: Head of Socials

Location: South Melbourne, VIC

Type: Full-time

WFH split: 4 days in-office, 1 day from home

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in social media (agency or in-house)

Preferred commencement: Immediate

JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage a portfolio of diverse clients across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Google)

• Create monthly content calendars aligned with strategy and goals

• Write on-brand, engaging captions with purpose

• Brief and collaborate with our design and video teams to bring content to life

• Coordinate with community managers to ensure brand-aligned responses

• Review performance, report on results, and recommend improvements

• Communicate directly with clients via email, phone, and WhatsApp

• Lead monthly check-ins and contribute to strategic reviews

• Attend and support photoshoots and content days

RELEVANT SKILLS

• Proven experience managing multiple social media accounts in a client-facing role

• Strong understanding of social media platforms, content strategy, and analytics

• Excellent written communication and storytelling skills

• Confident briefing creatives and reviewing final content

• Highly organised, able to juggle priorities and deadlines

• Familiar with tools like Google Suite, Slack, Trello, Canva, WhatsApp, Scheduling Tools etc.

• Confident presenting ideas and strategy to clients

• Understands the commitment that comes with a senior role, you take ownership, lead with initiative, and are dedicated to delivering top-tier results
