About the role

UEC Equipment Hire is seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator/Labourer to join our dynamic team in Capalaba, Queensland. As a casual employee, you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining a variety of construction equipment and machinery, ensuring efficient and safe operations on our job sites.

What you'll be doing

  • Operate and maintain a range of construction equipment and machinery, such as excavators, loaders, and skid-steer loaders
  • Perform general labouring duties, including site preparation, materials handling, and basic maintenance tasks
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
  • Collaborate with the wider construction team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients by responding to their equipment needs and addressing any concerns promptly

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience operating a variety of construction equipment and machinery
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and procedures
