About the role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our growing team at Touch Down Earthmoving in Logan Village, QLD. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations, operating a range of heavy machinery with skill and precision.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely and efficiently operate a variety of heavy equipment, such as excavators, rollers, and loaders.
  • Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on assigned machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Follow all site safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
  • Work collaboratively with the construction team to coordinate and execute project tasks
  • Report any issues or concerns with equipment or site conditions to the appropriate supervisor

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience operating heavy plant machinery
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting site plans and blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • A valid truck license minimum MR and machinery tickets
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety
