The Department of the House of Representatives is seeking applications from those interested in directly supporting the work of the House of Representatives and members of Parliament at Parliament House in Canberra.

The role is situated within Systems and Innovation Section of the Information Management Office of The Department. The Systems and Innovation section, within the Information Management Office (IMO), supports and enables the work of the House of Representatives by ensuring that that the business requirements and goals of the House of Representatives and department are represented in parliamentary ICT projects, applications, and infrastructure.

The section works closely with the department's IT service provider, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS), which owns and manages many of the business-critical systems that support the Parliament's operations. The Systems and Innovation team plays a key customer-side role in the relationship with DPS, both in the support and enhancement of existing systems, and in the development of new systems.

About the role

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Digital Business Solutions, you will work with key stakeholders to support the successful delivery of ICT projects.

You will use your project management, liaison and relationship management skills to act as the conduit between the department's business areas and our ICT provider, the Information Services Division within DPS.

You will have, or will be able to quickly acquire, a strong understanding of the work of the House of Representatives and the department so that you can advocate effectively for the department's business needs. You will manage your workload and priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
