About The Role:

This Department is looking for an APS6 Project Officer to support national clinical terminology services, contribute to multiple projects, and coordinate engagement and education initiatives across diverse stakeholders.

Level/Classification: APS6

Contract Duration: June 30, x 12 Months extension

Location: Canberra, ACT

Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to obtain Baseline security clearance
  • Ability and willingness to obtain national police check
  • Selection Criteria Response

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate engagement, outreach, and education activities to support program objectives
  • Support operational requirements including customer enquiries and standard procedures
  • Assist with project planning, schedules, tracking progress, and risk management
  • Contribute to procurement, contract, and finance processes
  • Prepare ministerial briefs, agendas, minutes, reports, and other documentation
  • Support business-as-usual operations alongside clinical terminologists and contract managers
  • Represent the program to internal and external stakeholders, supporting change initiatives

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated project management experience and ability to resolve complex issues
  • Highly organised with experience in planning education activities and events
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Skilled in developing project schedules and tracking deliverables to minimise risk
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
  • Experience with procurement, contract management, and financial processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of or interest in digital health standards is highly desirable
