We are currently seeking a passionate Fashion Designer & Product Developer to utilise different skills across designing, planning and production. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced designer to take ownership of the product lifecycle, from concept to delivery, while working in a high performing, fashion-forward environment. The position is available for full time only at our Surry Hills showroom office in the heart of the fashion wholesale industry, conveniently located 3 minute walk from Central Station.

About this role:

• Design styles under one of our in-house labels, transforming trend forecasts and sales insights into commercial bestsellers
• Manage the full product lifecycle: range planning, sampling, fittings, and production
• Analyse customer feedback, past performance, and current trends to refine design decisions
• Lead seasonal range development, fabric and colour selections, and design exclusive prints
• Work closely with our China-based team to oversee production and ensure timely delivery
• Weekly fittings sessions and document changes based on technical and pattern making knowledge
• Coordinate and present tailored ranges for customer meetings and placing orders
• Track floor stock and customer production orders
• Update release and range plans to align with weekly new arrivals

What We're Looking For:

• Ability to multi task and be an all-rounder
• Possess a strong eye for design detail and commercial appeal
• Solid understanding of garment construction, fit processes, and seasonal planning
• Excellent communication skills, especially when working with overseas teams
• Proficiency with Adobe Indesign preferred
• Demonstrate great organisation, planning and time management skills
• Organised, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Brings energy, curiosity, and new ideas to the table

Requirements:

• 2-3 years experience in fashion design, product development or buying
• Conversational Chinese language skills to communicate with our overseas team (writing not required)
