Talent International is currently recruiting for an
APS5 Property Officer
to work for one of our
Federal Government clients
based in
Newcastle.
The position is a
12-month contract role with the possibility of extension
and pays
$55.24/hr + Super.
7.5 hours per day and 38 hours per week

About The Role
The APS5 Property Officer is responsible for delivering property and corporate operations services, supporting both staff and stakeholders. This position requires sound judgment, independent decision-making, and the ability to manage workflow effectively. It also involves providing policy advice based on legislation and established policies. The role is office-based and requires attendance at the Newcastle office at least four days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and monitor third-party providers for property, shared services, and corporate operations.
  • Respond to enquiries and issues related to property and corporate services.
  • Contribute to team planning, task allocation, and monitoring activities.
  • Monitor and maintain stationery, consumables, and supplies across client sites.
  • Manage carpark ballots and fleet vehicles.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures.
  • Assist with fleet, mail, and other corporate operations matters.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make independent decisions.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality business support services.
  • Ability to provide policy advice within a specialised area using relevant policies and legislation.
  • Proven capability to undertake tasks where solutions are not always straightforward.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience resolving moderately complex to complex enquiries.
  • Must be located in or near Newcastle and able to attend the office at least four days per week.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in property or corporate services roles.
