About the role:
To provide strategic leadership in shaping Aurora's people and culture agenda by driving large-scale transformation and embedding practices that strengthen organisational capability, culture, and inclusion.
To align people initiatives with Aurora's mission and strategy, build leadership effectiveness, and foster an engaging workplace where collaboration, purpose, and performance thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee large-scale cultural and organisational change initiatives, including team and workforce transformation, and process redesign.
- Partner with senior leaders to design and embed people strategies that align with Aurora's mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
- Act as a change agent and facilitator, building frameworks and processes that encourage collaboration, shared ownership, and accountability across functions.
- Develop leadership capability through targeted programs, coaching, and initiatives that enhance change management expertise and drive cultural transformation.
- Embed inclusion and purpose within all people and culture initiatives, ensuring employees feel engaged, valued, and committed to Aurora's transformation journey.
- Provide expert guidance in building workforce strategies that respond to organisational change while safeguarding engagement and performance.

About you:
- A demonstrated understanding of Indigenous histories, cultures, organisations and the issues facing Indigenous people in Australia meeting their aspirations for their communities and families. Provide regular reporting as required.
- Proven experience leading and delivering strategic people and culture initiatives that support organisational goals and growth.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale change management and culture transformation projects.
- Extensive experience advising senior leaders on employment law, industrial relations, and people risk management.
- Track record in developing leadership capability and coaching leaders to drive performance and change.
- Experience designing and implementing inclusive workplace cultures, including integration of Indigenous worldviews and fostering cultural safety.
- Strong background in talent acquisition, workforce planning, and employee engagement strategies
