People & Culture Manager

THE CLIENT
Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing Australian organisation with a strong presence in the property living sector. Dedicated to creating vibrant communities, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional service and a resident-focused experience. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced HR professional to join their team in this newly created role.
Based in Sydney CBD, the team works predominantly on-site.
THE ROLE
Supporting a workforce of around 140 employees and reporting directly to the CEO, the People & Culture Manager will:
- Partner with senior leaders to deliver people strategies that enable business growth.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding, ensuring an engaging employee experience.
- Advise on employee relations, performance management, and compliance with Fair Work, WHS, and awards.
- Develop and implement HR policies, cultural initiatives, engagement programs, and wellbeing activities.
- Oversee payroll in partnership with the outsourced provider, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth transitions.
- Support workforce planning, succession, organisational design, and HRIS/data integrity for scaling operations.
THE CANDIDATE
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience partnering with a business across the full HR spectrum, working at both operational and strategic levels. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years' experience. You will be highly collaborative, able to influence stakeholders, and adept at managing a broad range of HR initiatives from strategy through to hands-on delivery. You must be comfortable in a fast-growing environment and have a proactive, hands-on approach. Previous experience in a stand-alone HR role is highly advantageous.
