As Billing Service Delivery Lead, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of Alinta Energy's Mass Market Billing delivery, working closely with our Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) partners in Kolkata and internal stakeholders in Melbourne. This newly restructured role is pivotal in driving improvements, ensuring compliance, and supporting the integration of credit and billing functions. You'll be responsible for forecasting, performance reporting, and providing insights to management, all while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Proactively manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality billing outcomes and compliance with contractual KPIs and SLAs
• Govern the integrity and maturity of billing, metering, and exception management processes, acting as a subject matter expert to optimise BPO operations
• Collaborate with functional leads and process owners to drive system enhancements, process improvements, and knowledge sharing across teams
• Lead analysis and reporting to improve billing delivery, exception handling, and customer experience, maintaining dashboards and procedural documentation
• Drive efficiency initiatives by identifying gaps in delivery targets, supporting process improvements, and ensuring alignment with business objectives

Your Experience

• Proven experience in vendor governance and BPO operations, ideally within the energy industry
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Mass Market billing, with knowledge of Demand Tariffs, Solar Customers, and electricity/gas billing compliance
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable presenting to all levels of management
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in MS products
• Collaborative, proactive, and resilient, with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
