Destec is a diversified mining contractor with a rapidly growing client base, providing ore crushing, screening, and materials handling to the mining industry. We take pride in innovation by designing, constructing, building, maintaining, and operating our own crushing and screening plants for mining sites. Additionally, we provide comprehensive ore processing and materials handling services to the mining industry across Western Australia.

The Opportunity:We're on the lookout for skilled and experienced Crushing Manager / Superintendent, to oversee the production operations & maintenance across both a fixed & mobile crushing operations. This position is based on a newly established iron ore mine site in the Northern Goldfields region. 

This role will involve but not limited to:

  • Supervise and coordinate fixed and mobile crushing operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintainer/operators, fostering a strong safety and performance culture.
  • Monitor and improve plant performance and reliability.
  • Drive business-critical processing and maintenance projects and initiatives.
  • Provide leadership of the production and technical teams.
  • Develop, coach and mentor process operational teams.
  • Collaborate with your team to develop and maintain efficient and productive processes across the plant.
  • Promote a high level of safety awareness, lead from the front and by example

Essential Criteria:

  • At least 3-5 years of supervisory experience in mine site/quarry/mobile crushing operations;
  • S26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate
  • Current "C" Class Manual Western Australian driver's licence
  • Have demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • Proven leadership and team building skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude
  • Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
