The Role

This is an opportunity for an experienced Crushing & Screening Project Supervisor to join the team at Urban Resources' assisting in managing multiple crushing and screening projects throughout the Perth metropolitan area. As a Crushing & Screening Project Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational requirements of the crushing and screening projects assigned to you.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervising, training and mentoring operators in the safe and productive operation of mobile crushing and screening equipment.
  • Reporting on daily productivity, productivity constraints and limitations, as well as general issues affecting daily operations
  • Liaising with the project manager in regard to maintenance & servicing requirements of the mobile plant and equipment.
  • Taking ownership and accountability for the safety, productivity and maintenance of the mobile plant and equipment on your sites
  • Reporting any mobile equipment damage/abuse to the Project Manager
  • Managing the safety across all sites/ projects assigned to you with the support of the HSE Manger and Project Manager

  • Strong leadership qualities together with a positive attitude and a can-do approach.
  • Ability and willingness to be hands on operating as required or directed by the Manager
  • Ability and willingness to be hands on with daily greasing, screen media replacement and general daily maintenance
  • Ability to drive and adapt our positive safety culture

  • Sound mechanical aptitude, specifically with mobile crushing and screening equipment

  • Significant experience as a Crushing & Screening Project Supervisor or equivalent role in the mining industry.

  • Thorough knowledge of crushing and screening equipment servicing and maintenance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of plant operators
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
  • Current White Card (Construction Induction) and mining safety inductions, or ability to obtain
