Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Conveyancer with comprehensive knowledge of New South Wales property law. The ideal candidate will be proficient in handling residential and/or commercial conveyancing transactions from start to finish and demonstrate strong attention to detail and client management. Prior experience working in a remote environment or with offshore teams is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end conveyancing transactions across New South Wales, including preparation of contracts, review of documents, and settlement processes.
- Communicate directly with clients, real estate agents, and financial institutions to ensure smooth progress throughout the transaction.
- Prepare and lodge legal documents using platforms such as PEXA, and ensure compliance with NSW regulations.
- Advise clients on legal obligations related to property purchases, sales, and transfers.
- Maintain accurate records and manage deadlines to avoid delays in settlement.
- Identify and resolve potential legal issues or complications that may arise during the conveyancing process.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and regulatory requirements affecting NSW property transactions.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate IV in Conveyancing or equivalent legal qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience working in conveyancing within New South Wales.
- Strong understanding of the NSW Conveyancing Act, Land Titles Office processes, and electronic conveyancing via PEXA.
- Demonstrated ability to manage files independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong client-focused approach.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with common conveyancing and practice management software.
