Established in 2014, Samsung SDS Global SCL Australia (SDSAU) is in Bankstown Aerodrome. SDSAU is committed to delivering high-quality and sophisticated logistics services to our valued customers through the utilisation of the "Cello" system.

Role Description

An enthusiastic Sales Expert located in Sydney who will play a pivotal role within the company. The role of the successful candidate is to have a comprehensive understanding of what we are about and use that knowledge to bring in new customers to the company and lead sales activities for major customers through direct engagement

  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies in Contract Logistics.
  • Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans
  • Delivering presentations towards customers in Australia, and initiate regular business trips for such sales activities
  • Promoting existing customers' retention, cross-selling and upselling
  • Building short-term/long-term sales inventory pipelines and record progresses in company sales platform (daily/weekly/monthly reports with approaching progress)
  • Establishing a national supply chain strategy, to ensure that the Team grow quickly to become an absolute top-tier logistics company in Australia
  • Closely monitoring trends on rates and work with procurement experts to secure competitive prices and stable space
  • Achieving sales target, present the performance in reports and internal regular meetings (weekly/monthly/semi-annually)
  • Managing and monitoring business pipeline
  • Setting up a Go-To-Market strategy by region and make sure the sales activities go in line with the strategy

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree above
  2. Major in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred
  3. English advanced level and a secondary language is a plus

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of experience in Contract Logistics
  • 5 years of experience in New Business Development/Sales experience
  • Experienced in large-scale and long-term contracts
  • Knowledge in logistics IT systems (FIS/WMS/TMS)
