About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated National Business Development Manager to contribute to the growth of the Vetsense brand across Australia.

This role is ideal for a results-driven individual with strong commercial acumen and a passion for the animal health industry. You'll be tasked with expanding national sales, strengthening existing relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across both veterinary and retail channels.

The successful applicant will be based close enough to Sydney to attend the head office at least one day per week (when not travelling) and must be prepared to travel frequently across Australia to visit customers, attend trade events, and support regional growth initiatives.

This is a hands-on role that is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships and driving growth at both a regional and national level.

Key Responsibilities


• Develop and execute business growth strategies across national retail, veterinary, and distribution channels.


• Manage and grow relationships with key accounts, wholesalers, and distributors.


• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the Vetsense brand footprint in target markets.


• Contribute to marketing initiatives, including promotions, campaigns, and product launches.


• Maintain sound product knowledge across the full Vetsense range, including technical details, benefits, and key selling points, to confidently represent the brand within our selling environment.


• Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.


• Provide regular reporting on sales performance, customer activity, and pipeline development.


• Represent Vetsense Animal Health at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.


• Conduct product training and presentations for customers and partners.

Skills & Experience


• Proven success in business development or national account management within the animal health, veterinary, or allied sectors.


• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.


• Experience managing national or multi-territory portfolios.


• Commercial understanding of both retail and veterinary distribution channels.


• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.


• Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.


• Proactive in reporting progress, insights, and opportunities.


• Able to work independently in the field while maintaining consistent communication and alignment with the Sales Manager.
