The Role

Cazalys Cairns is a renowned local venue, recognised for its community achievements. Situated alongside a first-class sporting stadium, gaming lounge, coffee shop, restaurant, children's playroom, a busy sports bar, bingo, and function rooms.

With our continued business growth, we are seeking an additional Bookkeeper to join our Finance Team. Reporting to our newly appointed CFO, your responsibilities will include:

  • Accurate daily coding and entry of supplier invoices
  • Processing and checking banking transactions for accuracy
  • Preparing bank reconciliations
  • Coordinating and processing payment runs
  • Accounts receivable and payable processes
  • Various reconciliations
  • Maintenance of supplier and customer master data
  • Following applicable AUSTRAC guidelines for gaming related payments and banking
  • Ensuring Delegation of Authority and Purchase Order guidelines are followed
  • End of month transactions and reconciliations
  • Ad hoc financial reporting

Candidate should possess:

  • 5+ years of bookkeeping with experience in gaming preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and work unsupervised
