About Us
At Catalyst Training Co., we're not your average gym, we're a high-performance, community-first training space committed to long-term results, inclusive culture, and genuine human connection. We're redefining what it means to work in fitness, giving professionals a place to coach, grow, and lead with purpose, without the pressure of rent or endless lead-chasing.
The Role
We're seeking a dynamic Coach & Member Relations Specialist, someone who can switch seamlessly between delivering exceptional coaching and creating memorable client experiences at our front desk. You'll be part of a high-functioning team that values excellence in both training outcomes and 5 star service.
Whether you're leading a small group session, guiding a personal training client, or greeting a new visitor with warmth and professionalism, your role is critical to delivering the Catalyst Standard.
This is an ideal position for a well-rounded fitness professional who is passionate about coaching, values career stability, and thrives on making members feel seen, supported, and successful.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching
- Deliver high-quality 1-on-1 personal training and small group sessions tailored to client goals.
- Maintain energy, technique, and progression across sessions, ensuring clients feel coached, not just supervised.
- Support member results through assessments, programming, and ongoing education.
- Collaborate with the coaching team to ensure a consistent, professional, and results-focused training experience.
Member Relations
- Provide concierge-level service at reception, warmly greeting all members and guests within 10 seconds of arrival.
- Handle gym tours, new member onboarding, and follow-ups with a focus on building trust and long-term engagement.
- Manage inquiries, bookings, and scheduling in-person and via our CRM.
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell programs, personal training, and specialty classes in a value-driven way.
- Create delightful moments, like personalised welcome notes, milestone shoutouts, and thoughtful gestures that elevate the member journey.
- Maintain 5-star facility standards in reception and coaching areas.
Who You Are
- Dual-Skilled – You're equally confident coaching a class and speaking to a new lead at the front desk.

- Fitness Qualified – Cert III in Fitness minimum (IV preferred); confident coaching individuals and groups.
- Strong Communicator – Articulate, warm, and professional—verbally and in writing.
- Team-Oriented – You thrive in a collaborative, feedback-driven environment.
- Organised & Reliable – You respect systems, time, and the trust that clients place in us.
- Weekend & Shift Flexible – You're happy to work a rotating roster including weekends.
