About your new role

We're hiring a Procurement Development Officer to drive improvements in procurement efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation. This role focuses on building capability, improving systems and processes, and supporting governance and compliance in line with procurement principles.

You'll work within the Procurement Capability and Performance Team to support quality management, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will be instrumental in helping us optimise and move into modern ways of working.

This role is ideal for someone with strong business improvement experience and a passion for training and stakeholder engagement.

This role plays a key part in strengthening procurement capability and driving continuous improvement across the organisation. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating training materials, guides, and SharePoint content, while developing engaging resources such as e-learning modules. The position involves facilitating training sessions, conducting needs analyses, and delivering targeted learning solutions. It also supports the review and enhancement of procurement procedures, systems, and documentation to ensure alignment with legislation, policy, and audit requirements. Key tasks include managing knowledge libraries, assisting users on platforms such as ServiceNow and VendorPanel, and improving information management and record-keeping practices. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to ensure content and communications meet operational needs, alongside contributions to governance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Through proactive engagement and knowledge sharing, this role promotes best practice and fosters a culture of excellence in procurement services.

• Skilled in designing, delivering, and developing training programs


• A self-starter who takes initiative, and is keen to learn


• Skilled in managing quality assurance (QA) documentation


• Skilled in process improvement, and stakeholder engagement


• Strong understanding of procurement principles and legislation, including policies and contractual requirements


• Preferred experience with procurement systems and document management platforms (e.g. SAP, VendorPanel, Open Windows, SharePoint, ServiceNow)


• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to shifting priorities

While experience in procurement or contracts will be beneficial, it is not essential, as we will provide the necessary context and support.
