About the team

The Chief Procurement Office provides expert advice, strategic direction, and procurement solutions to deliver the Council Plan and drive impactful service outcomes across the city. We work across portfolios including critical infrastructure, services, and goods for our community. About your new role

As a Sourcing Lead, you'll play a key role in driving strategic procurement success across the City.

In this role, you will:


• Lead and support a small team (0–3 direct reports), fostering growth and collaboration


• Manage category planning, sourcing strategies, and end-to-end procurement activities


• Lead high-risk, complex projects including tender development, evaluations, and negotiations


• Build strong stakeholder and supplier relationships to deliver effective outcomes


• Conduct market analysis and support lower-risk tenders as needed


• Ensure accuracy and compliance of procurement data and documentation (SAP, Open Windows, SharePoint)


• Provide mentoring, training, and contribute to tender pipeline planning

This role requires senior-level procurement experience, with proven ability to lead high-risk, complex projects. Government experience is an advantage
