About your new role
As the Senior ServiceNow Developer, you'll lead the design, development, and implementation of complex ServiceNow solutions across enterprise modules. You'll collaborate closely with business and technical teams, mentor developers, and champion best practices to ensure scalable, secure, and high-quality outcomes.

We're looking for people who have:
We're after a technical leader with deep ServiceNow expertise and a passion for building scalable, innovative solutions. You'll combine hands-on development skills with the ability to design complex workflows, lead integrations, and mentor other developers. You'll hold CSA and CAD certifications, bring proven experience delivering ServiceNow solutions in enterprise environments, and demonstrate both technical excellence and strong stakeholder engagement skills to help drive the City's ServiceNow capability forward.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required
- Certified Application Developer (CAD) – required
- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) or module-specific certifications (ITSM, HRSD, SAM, ITOM, SPM) – highly regarded
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer in large enterprise environments
- Strong technical expertise in JavaScript, HTML, Angular, REST/SOAP APIs, and advanced ServiceNow components (UI Pages, Widgets, Service Portal)
- Deep understanding of ServiceNow integrations, data flows, and platform architecture
- Ability to design, build, and optimise custom workflows, integrations, and applications
- Experience performing code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and leading technical discussions
- Strong understanding of SDLC processes, testing, and deployment frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to bridge technical and business needs
