Pacific Paradise State School is seeking a passionate, experienced, and dynamic Head of Department (Curriculum) to join it's leadership team.

As the Head of Department (Curriculum) Teaching and Learning you will shape the school's culture, curriculum, and pedagogical practices, with a focus on curriculum, assessment, and signature pedagogical approaches.

You will be an essential part of the Leadership Team and play a key part in supporting teachers in their professional learning to improve their practice.

Pacific Paradise State School is a welcoming Prep‑to‑Year 6 primary school nestled on the Sunshine Coast. With state‑of‑the‑art facilities including a large performing arts hall and expansive 2‑hectare grounds, the school offers a vibrant learning environment. As the Head of Department (Curriculum) Teaching and Learning will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

  • Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared

    educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.

The Perfect Fit:

  • Possess strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, and have experience with coaching, along with proven results in influencing Teaching and Learning to increase student results.
