About the role

Roadline Civil Contractors is seeking a full-time Financial Administrator / Accounting Officer to join their team in Canning Vale, WA. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your accounting expertise and contribute to the financial success of a dynamic civil contracting organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Processing and maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable records
  • Preparing and processing payroll, including leave entitlements and superannuation
  • Generating financial reports and statements to track the company's financial performance
  • Reconciling bank accounts and managing cash flow
  • Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Providing administrative support to the finance and accounting team

What we're looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar financial administrator or accounting officer role
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations in the civil construction industry
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting (or equivalent) preferred
