Mackellar are the mining services contractor for Bravus' Carmichael Mine and together we are creating jobs and opportunities for regional Queensland. These opportunities don't come along every day. Townsville and Rockhampton are our primary recruitment hubs however we also encourage and will consider applicants from all regional Queensland communities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operate the Fleet Management System (e.g., Wenco, Modular, MineStar) to monitor, assign, and optimize the movement of haul trucks, excavators, and ancillary equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and technical teams to ensure smooth operational flow and immediate response to issues.
  • Manage daily shift plans and execute production priorities in line with the mine plan.
  • Record and report real-time data, including delays, equipment breakdowns, and productivity metrics.
  • Adjust fleet allocations in response to equipment availability, weather, and operational priorities.
  • Support the accurate reporting of load counts, cycle times, fuel usage, and dig locations.
  • Escalate and document any system issues or discrepancies in performance to relevant departments.
  • Maintain situational awareness of all active mining areas and support emergency protocols when required.
