As we expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Depot Manager to lead our team at a key regional depot.
Location: Townsville
Responsibilities:
As the Depot Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operations of our regional depot. Your key duties will include:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and inspire a team of dedicated staff to achieve operational excellence.
- Foster a positive work culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
2. Operational Oversight:
- Ensure smooth and timely loading, unloading, and dispatch of general freight shipments.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations.
3. Resource Management:
- Optimize resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and facilities, to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
4. Customer Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to understand customer needs and expectations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in managing a regional depot within the transport industry is a must.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully supervising teams.
- In-depth knowledge of general freight operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make strategic decisions to drive operational efficiency and business growth.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and compliance requirements.
