As our network continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Transport Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimise our vehicle transport operations, ensuring the efficient, safe, and timely movement of vehicles between dealerships and external partners.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to senior management, this position will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our car carrier fleet and truck drivers across multiple locations. You will plan routes, coordinate schedules, and work closely with internal departments to ensure maximum efficiency and utilisation of our trucks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate daily truck routes for vehicle deliveries and transfers.
  • Communicate effectively with dealerships, drivers, and department managers to ensure clear scheduling and priorities.
  • Manage and monitor vehicle movements between sites to maximise efficiency.
  • Optimise load planning, turnaround times, and fleet utilisation.
  • Maintain accurate transport records, delivery schedules, and driver logs.
  • Ensure compliance with all road transport, safety, and chain-of-responsibility requirements.
  • Provide regular updates to management and contribute to logistics process improvements.
  • Support future scalability of the transport function along the East Coast.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Proven experience in transport scheduling, fleet coordination, or logistics management (automotive or heavy vehicle industry experience highly regarded).
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with a strong focus on efficiency and problem solving.
  • Proficient with scheduling software, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of compliance, fatigue management, and transport safety requirements.
  • Current driver's licence essential (truck licence advantageous but not mandatory).
  • A motivated team player with a proactive approach and attention to detail.
