Depot Manager

Lead our flagship depot at the centre of a growing regional freight network.

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Depot Manager to lead operations from the Coffs Harbour Depot — the central hub of the Bulk Regional Express network.

Based at the Regional Head Office, you'll work closely with operations support, fleet maintenance, and senior management teams to keep the network running smoothly. You'll lead a dedicated local team and ensure time-sensitive freight moves safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

What you'll be doing:

• Overseeing linehaul unloads and coordinating freight for last-mile delivery.
• Leading the morning freight sort, scanning, route planning, and driver dispatch.
• Supervising and supporting a small team of drivers and depot staff.
• Driving compliance standards (WHS, CoR, NHVR) and leading toolbox talks.
• Managing rosters, site performance metrics (DIFOT, scan compliance, cost-per-drop), and incident follow-ups.
• Building strong relationships with customers and resolving service issues quickly.

What you'll need:

• Proven leadership experience in transport, depot, or logistics operations.
• A confident, hands-on style with the ability to inspire and support your team.
• Solid knowledge of last-mile delivery, route planning, and driver coordination.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements (CoR, NHVR, WHS).
• Comfortable with transport systems and freight scanning technology.
• A current MR/HR license (essential)
• A valid forklift license (essential)
