Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia All Purpose CALD Services PTY LTD Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

At All Purpose CALD Services Pty Ltd, we believe diversity is strength. We provide culturally responsive support to NDIS participants from all backgrounds, particularly CALD communities, helping them achieve their goals and live with dignity, choice, and independence.

Position Purpose

As an NDIS Support Coordinator, you will guide participants to understand, implement, and maximize their NDIS plans. You will act as a connector, advocate, mentor, and strategist — enabling participants to build skills, make informed choices, and achieve meaningful life outcomes.

You will apply NDIS best practice, while championing autonomy, respect, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Below are the core roles and tasks expected of Support Coordinators per NDIS guidelines:

  • Help participants understand and use their NDIS plan to pursue their goals.
  • Connect participants to funded supports, mainstream services, community supports, and informal networks.
  • Coordinate and broker service agreements, bookings, and supports to align with participant goals and budgets.
  • Monitor service delivery and outcomes, adjusting supports as needed.
  • Build participants' capacity and skills to manage their own supports and increase independence over time.
  • Assist with crisis, risk, and safeguards planning — respond proactively to safety or quality concerns.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and advocacy for participants in interactions with service providers or systems.
  • Prepare clear, timely documentation, progress reports, and data for audits, reviews, or plan renewals.
  • Stay up to date with NDIS rules, Pricing Guide, Quality & Safeguards, and organisational policies.

Essential Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in disability, community services, case management, social work, or similar.
  • Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in disability, community services, case management, social work, or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of the NDIS — its goals, funding structure, obligations, and operations.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), with the ability to engage participants and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise, plan, and think on your feet.
  • Empathy, cultural humility, and commitment to participant-led practice.
  • Proficient in IT (e.g. case management systems, Microsoft Office).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check (if applicable).
  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • First Aid & CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia (Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa).
Preferred / Desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, or related field.
  • Experience working with CALD communities, or multilingual skills.
  • Previous experience with complex or specialist support coordination (e.g. multiple providers, complex behaviours, housing, mental health).
  • Familiarity with NDIS portals (PRODA, e-NDIS) and compliance systems.
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module or willingness to complete upon commencement.

Core Competencies & Attributes
  • Participant-Focused & Empowering – you support people to lead their lives, not impose "solutions."
  • Cultural Responsiveness – sensitive to cultural, linguistic, and individual differences.
  • Integrity & Professionalism – strong ethical judgment, transparent, accountable.
  • Resilience & Adaptability – able to juggle shifting priorities and work under ambiguity.
  • Collaboration & Networking – work effectively with internal teams, providers, allied health, and the community.
  • Problem Solving & Innovation – ability to think outside the box and tailor supports to each participant's context.

Performance Indicators / Success Measures
  • Participant satisfaction, feedback, and goal attainment.
  • Accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in reporting and documentation.
  • Demonstrated growth in participant capacity and independence.
  • Effective caseload management and outcome delivery.
  • Adherence to NDIS Quality & Safeguards, internal policies, and audit readiness.

Why Join Us? What We Offer
  • A meaningful role with real impact — you will change lives, not just work a job.
  • Competitive remuneration under SCHADS Award (or equivalent).
  • Ongoing professional development, training, and mentorship.
  • Inclusive, supportive, and culturally aware workplace.
  • Opportunities for leadership or specialist roles as we grow.
