About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant (AHA) to join our team. This role is ideal for student physiotherapists or exercise physiologists who want hands-on clinical and gym-floor experience in a supportive, sports-focused environment.

The position involves assisting with patient care, exercise supervision, administrative duties, and general clinic operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support physiotherapists and exercise physiologists in delivering patient care.
  • Assist patients on the gym floor with prescribed exercise programs.
  • Supervise and help facilitate group exercise classes.
  • Prepare treatment areas, exercise equipment, and ensure smooth session flow.

  • Assist reception and admin staff with:

  • Taking payments

  • Processing bookings and rebookings
  • Answering phone calls and patient enquiries
  • Support with athlete testing and monitoring using clinic technology (e.g. Dynamo, ForceDecks).
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised clinical and gym environment.
  • Perform general administrative and operational tasks as required.
  • Assist with patient education resources, workshops, and community engagement activities where appropriate.

Required Qualifications & Accreditations
  • Currently studying a Bachelor or Master of Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology.
  • ASCA Strength and Conditioning Accreditation Level 1 or 2 (or willingness to attain).
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification.
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • National Police Check.
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence
  • Eligible to work in Australia with unrestricted work rights

Desirable Qualifications & Extras
  • SMA Level 1 Sports Trainer accreditation.
  • Cert III/IV in Fitness.
  • Previous customer service or reception experience.
  • Computer literacy, especially with booking or clinic management software.
  • Experience working with athletes, sports teams, or in exercise-based environments.
