Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and suitably qualified Allied Health Assistant to join the multidisciplinary In Reach Rehabilitation team which provides rehabilitation to patients in the acute setting at Royal North Shore Hospital.

Remuneration: $30.64 - $34.64 per hour

What Youll Be Doing
  • An Allied Health Assistant (AHA) engages in basic patient care, clinical duties and/or administrative support under the supervision of the designated Allied Health Professional (AHP).
  • Clinical duties may include therapeutic and program related activities and the identification and reporting of changes in the client's condition.
  • The AHA may be engaged to work in a discipline specific area or assist in the delivery of allied health services across a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or willingness to undertake this training or other qualification deemed equivalent by NSLHD.
  • Understanding of the role of an Allied Health Assistant within a large organisation. Ability to work independently under the delegation of an AHP and to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload and complete activities within scope of practice and seek assistance when required.
