About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join our team at the vibrant Five Stooges Pty Ltd trading as La Trattoria Restaurant in the heart of Adelaide, SA 5000. This is a permanent full-time role

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and cook a variety of delicious Italian dishes using fresh, high-quality ingredients

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes

  • Provide excellent customer service and work closely with the front-of-house team

  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies

What we're looking for

  • Relevant experience as a Sous Chef, preferably in an Italian or Mediterranean restaurant

  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and the ability to prepare authentic, high-quality dishes

  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene

  • Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and provide outstanding customer service
