The world's biggest challenge needs you, here.
Big challenges require big solutions. And the transition to a net-zero world is about as big as it gets. Working at Shell Energy - one of Australia's leading energy retailers - puts you at the heart of that endeavour.
Lead the change, from the frontline
Shell Energy is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business and technology turning ideas into smarter solutions that power real change.
Based in Brisbane, you'll work on billing, pricing, and digital projects that drive efficiency, innovation, and customer impact. Join a team that values collaboration, celebrates diversity, and supports you to grow while making a difference in Australia's energy future.
With respect, integrity and honesty, responsibilities include:
- Shape strategy: Influence and support strategic projects by applying human-centred design and data-driven insights.
- Partner with stakeholders: Collaborate across the business to capture requirements, align priorities, and turn ideas into action.
- Drive change: Assess impacts, manage risks, and ensure smooth delivery of new initiatives and improvements.
- Champion continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to optimise processes and introduce innovative solutions.
- Translate needs into solutions: Bridge the gap between business and IT, converting business requirements into practical technical outcomes.
- Communicate & deliver: Facilitate Agile ways of working, manage backlogs, and provide clear updates through roadmaps, reports, and documentation.
What you'll need to thrive:
- Strong technical foundation – experience in IT disciplines, delivery methodologies (Agile/Waterfall), and tools such as Jira, Miro, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Analytical mindset – ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements and deliver practical solutions.
- Project delivery skills – proven success managing projects, timelines, risks, and outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaboration & influence – confident working with stakeholders at all levels to build alignment and foster positive team dynamics.
- Adaptability & resilience – thrive in changing priorities while staying focused on continuous learning and improvement.
- Relevant qualifications – A degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; certifications (Scrum, PMP, ITIL) highly regarded.
Why join our team
Every day, our people bring deep expertise, true innovation and investment to help our customers - and the world - reduce their environmental footprint. You can be part of that change.
We think you'll love it here too. Some of our benefits include:

- Generous paid parental leave options that give team members more time to enjoy what matters most.
- Flexible working arrangements, with modern workplaces and technologies that support new, hybrid ways of working.
