The Digital Customer (Smart Service Queensland) team within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) provides digitally enabled whole-of-government services to the Queensland public through multiple channels including phone, counter and online. This stream brings together technology, development, products, design, engagement, and operations to deliver simpler connected services.

As The Senior Business Analyst (Technical Solutions), You Will

  • Research, assess and critically analyse information gathered through a range of modern elicitation techniques.
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions and backlog refinement with relevant stakeholders.
  • Translate business objectives into requirements, epics and user stories that guide technical product and platform development.
  • Undertake business process and service improvement analysis through the utilisation of relevant standard tools and techniques to successfully contribute to business transformation.
  • Research, analyse and review complex issues, proposals and emerging technologies to ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable and deliver measurable value.
  • Facilitate effective communication between business units and technical teams to ensure that solutions are aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify and shape opportunities for technical enablement through strategic and financial analysis and develop business cases to promote reusable capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships and consult at both an individual and a cross-agency level.
  • Liaise and negotiate with Senior Management, to ensure recommended solutions are aligned with Digital Customer (SSQ) strategic plan.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.
  • Manage and mentor junior Business Analyst(s).
  • On-call, multi-site, and after-hour availability is a requirement of this position.
