TMC is seeking a Secondary School ILO (VET Coordinator) to start in Term
The SchoolTamborine Mountain College is a K-12 independent, non-denominational, coeducational day school in the Gold Coast Hinterland, a short 25 minute drive from the M1. The College is a growing school with a great sense of community.
The OpportunityWe are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Industry Liaison Officer (ILO) to coordinate our Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs and support students pursuing vocational pathways.
This role is ideal for an administrative professional with strong attention to detail and a passion for helping young people succeed. While previous experience in VET is an advantage, it is not essential — full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and monitor student VET study options, including off-campus, online, and self-paced programs.
- Manage administrative processes and compliance records for VET and traineeship programs.
- Liaise with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), employers, and other stakeholders.
- Track and monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support students and families with information and guidance about vocational pathways.
- Promote student achievements and vocational opportunities within the College community.
- Ensure all VET programs align with compliance, quality assurance, and reporting standards.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Confident communicator who enjoys building relationships with students and external partners.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and maintain compliance knowledge..
- Administrative or coordination experience in an education or training environment (preferred but not essential).
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check) required prior to commencement.
This is a part-time position (3 days per week or equivalent) during school terms. The successful applicant will work closely with College leadership and teaching staff to support TMC's commitment to providing diverse, high-quality learning pathways for all students.
