This is a unique and rewarding opportunity that starts with project implementation and evolves into a Senior Payroll Coordinator's role.

As part of a newly created team within the CIMIC Group, you will support the rollout of the national payroll system, Dayforce, playing a key role in this high-impact transformation.

Working closely with stakeholders across the group, the role involves supporting configuration builds, process improvements, data migration, conducting system testing, and developing engaging training material.

Once the implementation is complete, your role will shift to that of a Senior Payroll Coordinator. You'll leverage your in-depth system knowledge as a super user to enhance payroll operations and take on key responsibilities, including:

  • Overseeing weekly and monthly payroll cycles for 700 plus employees nationally, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Auditing payroll records and identifying opportunities to improve and automate processes for greater efficiency.
  • Preparing and reviewing reports while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Supporting employee payroll queries, mentoring the team, and driving best practices across all processes.
  • Managing end to end payroll, reconciliations, and contributing to process improvements and change management.

 Who are you?

  • You bring 5+ years of end-to-end payroll experience, managing large payrolls of 500 –1,000 employees.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills, with the ability to work confidently and independently under tight deadlines.
  • Your proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate+ level) enables you to create formulas, analyse data, and format reports with ease.
  • A proactive problem-solver with expertise in payroll data analytics, you excel at providing support to both business and project teams.
  • You thrive in collaborative environments, embracing a team-first mindset and a service-oriented approach to your work.
