The Role
This 3-month contract will be suitable for animmediately available Senior Payroll Officer, who will report directly to the Payroll Manager. This role has the potential to be extended.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager your duties will include -
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees on a weekly cycle
- Interpret and apply relevant Awards, EBAs and payroll legislation
- Prepare and reconcile superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax and other statutory obligations
- Process new starters, terminations and variations accurately
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity across payroll systems
- Assist with payroll reporting, audits and month-end reconciliations
- Provide accurate advice and support to employees and managers on payroll matters
- Contribute to payroll and HR system upgrades and assist with project work to improve processes and efficiencies
About You
- Minimum of four to five years' experience in a similar Senior Payroll or Payroll Officer position
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience with large payroll system.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
