What is our opportunity?
We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Senior Accounts Payable Officer
to join our finance team in Chatswood. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the end-to-end full function of accounts payable for timely processing various govt. grant & general vendors payments ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all financial policies and procedures. You will also manage over 150 monthly rentals of leased office locations across the business and be an integral part of an AP automation project and contribute to the smooth and effective end of year and month close.

  • Proven experience in a dedicated accounts payable role, preferably within a large or medium-sized organisation
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance is advantageous, or demonstrable hands-on experience with any large ERP accounting systems
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, medium to advanced Excel skills essential
  • Relevant qualification in accounting, finance or related field is desirable

A valid Police Check and Working with Children Check are mandatory requirements prior to commencement of employment. Successful candidates must set up a myGovID in order to access Government data aligned to role.
Who are you?
To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of five years of experience in a dedicated accounts payable position, with proven, hands-on experience using account payable financial technology systems. Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles are all essential.

You should also be a proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
