The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead a client portfolio. This role is client-facing and will involve managing both onshore and offshore team members while ensuring the highest standard of service delivery. You will work closely with the partners to deliver strategic and compliance solutions, while also fostering the growth and development of your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Look after a portfolio of clients across business services, taxation, and advisory.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Review work prepared by junior accountants including the annual financial statements, tax returns, activity statements, FBT, ESS and other tax compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to internal process improvements and best practice initiatives.

About You

  • CPA or CA qualified
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Australian public practice, currently in a Senior Accountant role. Mid-tier firms experience is highly valued
  • Proven experience with a client portfolio with various structures (including trusts and SMSF)
  • Mandarin or Cantonese speaking is an advantage
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards.
  • Experience in dealing with complex tax matters and tax advice, such as FBT, Div 7A, CGT Concessions, Margin Scheme, Transfer Pricing, Thin Capitalisation and more.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centric approach.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
