Business Services Senior Tax Accountant

We are 4 Partner Chartered Accounting firm based in Chatswood, providing high-quality services to a select group of clients, looking for a mid to senior level Business Services Accountant to join our collaborative Business Services and Advisory team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and refine your skills across taxation, management accounting, and business advisory services in a supportive, close-knit environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, tax returns, for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts and SMSF's.
- Assist and working with clients on their ongoing compliance needs such BAS, FBT, and payroll tax returns.
- Leverage a variety of accounting software tools, including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and Class to deliver accurate and efficient services.
- Assist with tax planning and provide business advisory services, helping clients assess financial and non-financial information to monitor and improve their performance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service and identifying opportunities for further business development.
- Contribute to the growth of the team through mentoring and knowledge sharing, including supervising and working with junior team members to elevate the firm as a whole.
Qualifications:
- Must have strong social and ethical values to align with our client and firm cultures.
- Experienced in Business Services with an Australian Accounting Firm, with strong technical expertise.
- A minimum of 3 years of local Australian tax experience is required to ensure robust understanding of Australian tax regulations.
- Australian Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or similar), with CA/CPA qualifications in progress or already completed.
- Candidates must have recently completed their CA/CPA qualifications.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards, tax legislation, and reporting requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on client service and relationship management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Class) and cloud-based tools.
- Must have Australian work rights.
