Administration Officer/Assistant Accountant

We are a busy accounting firm providing high quality, individualised services. Our office is situated in Kirwan. We have a small team of accountants and auxiliary staff.
We are looking for an Administration Officer/Assistant Accountant to help our busy staff.
As the primary Administration person, your duties will include:
· Greeting clients (face to face and phone);
· Directing and responding to client enquiries (phone and email);
· Electronic filing; and
· Appointment preparation.
As an Assistant Accountant your duties will include:
· Basic bookkeeping;
· Tax and BAS preparation; and
· Simple accounting tasks.
Essential Skills/Experience:
· Previous administration experience;
· Demonstrated organisational skills;
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
· Well-developed interpersonal skills;
· Well developed ability to problem solve;
· Ability to follow instructions and to use initiative;
· Demonstrated ability to multitask;
· High level computer skills; and
· Experience with accounting software (eg Xero and Quickbooks).
Desirable Skills/Experience:
· Previous experience working in accounting firm;
· Bookkeeping experience; and
· Accounting or administration qualifications.
This is a full time position and pay rate will reflect experience, ability and qualifications. Training will be provided to the right person.
