CBS Building Group Pty Ltd is a well-established North Queensland construction and civil subcontracting company with over 60 years of continuous operation. Family-owned and operated, we pride ourselves on delivering quality customer service, reliable product delivery, and building long-term relationships with our clients.

We are currently seeking a Receptionist / Administration Officer to join our busy and supportive office team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong administration skills who is looking to grow within the building and construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily reception duties and incoming calls
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, and counter/phone sales
  • Raise and issue purchase orders & receipt stock / Stock control
  • Coordinate uniforms, inductions, training, and freight bookings
  • Support job preparation (quotes, work orders, SWMS/JSA, manuals, warranty forms)
  • Maintain customer profiles and supplier records
  • Upload invoices/statements, reconcile petty cash & manage SimPRO files
  • Order materials, stationery, and staff amenities
  • Provide general administrative support to the office team
  • Arranging of Flights and accommodation for staff travel and Jobs out of town

Skills & Experience

  • High level of customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of SimPRO job management software (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of Xero accounting software (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with Apple Mac/iPad devices (advantageous)
