What You'll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
Assist the ICT Manager in implementing a JCG-aligned governance framework and maintaining compliance with Defence security standards (PSPF, DSPF, ISM).
Provide advisory on ICT risk, configuration, cyber worthiness, and ensure authorised, documented, and auditable changes.
Manage daily operations of DESN systems, maintain accurate network diagrams and asset registers, and ensure data accuracy across ICT systems.
Coordinate change requests, patching, upgrades, and support contract reporting and ICT performance metrics.
Liaise with Defence stakeholders, service partners, and subcontractors to ensure ICT services meet PAS standards and support issue resolution.
What You'll Bring
Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field; vendor certifications (e.g. Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA) are desirable.
Ability to obtain and retain Defence Security Clearance (requires Australian Citizenship); White Card and site access credentials are desirable.
Experience in system or network administration, with demonstrated skills in ICT configuration, change control, and data management.
Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure, networks, and Defence/government security frameworks (PSPF, DSPF, ISM); proficiency with system monitoring, configuration management, and audit tools.
Analytical thinking, attention to detail, stakeholder engagement, systems thinking, and ability to produce accurate technical documentation and reports.
