About Us:

Modcast is a fast growing precast concrete manufacturer based in North Wangaratta, Victoria. We focus on our purpose of "Building Better Infrastructure" by providing precast concrete solutions to civil infrastructure projects.

The Role:

In this role you will directly contribute to our 3C Precast System by assisting with building, improving and customization of steel precast moulds. Working in a small team, your daily tasks will include:

  • Welding fabrication and assembly of complex new precast concrete moulds.
  • Repair and commissioning of existing moulds for new projects.
  • Processing materials including use of bandsaw, punch and CNC equipment.
  • Participating in design and improvement of moulds and production equipment.
  • Carryout general maintenance and repairs to production equipment.
  • Engaging in improvement activities to improve safety, output and quality of your team.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy work area.
  • Assist other production teams with jigs, fitting and maintenance.

You will directly impact your teams performance by working together to complete set tasks each day.

Skills & Experience:

You will exhibit the following to be a success in this role:

  • Demonstrated experience in welding fabrication.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Ability to work on your own and as a team for complex tasks.
  • Creative flair and the ability to think outside the box to improve jigs, processes, and quality.

While beneficial, a welding qualification is not essential. A forklift license and any mechanical service experience will also be beneficial.
