STAINLESS TIG/ FABRICATOR / SHEET METAL WORKER

Furniture Manufacturing company in the Northern West Suburb

To be considered for this exciting role you will have experience in furniture or similar industry (e.g., Fabrication, Fitting & metal work etc.), delivering jobs ranging from small to large scale rollouts, on schedule and to a high standard.

You must have, extensive experience in sheet metal fabrications, TIG Stainless and Aluminium as well as Steel Fabrication to a high quality and finish.

You will be responsible for:

  • To plan and organise work according to the Job Sheet from start to completion with excellent time management skills that facilitate on time completion of goals/projects.
  • To be able to multi task and take on additional tasks as and when required.
  • To plan & keep track of materials required for completing the job.
  • To be actively involved in Housekeeping.
  • High Quality, highly skilled Stainless Tig welder/fabricator who takes price and finds satisfaction in their work
  • Be able to weld Stainless Steel, Mild Steel & Aluminium
  • Read Technical Drawings and carry out work without needing direction
  • Must be able to interpret basic assembly drawings independently

Qualifications & experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' Metal Fabrication experience
  • Excellent skills in sheet metal fabrication.
  • Excellent skills in TIG welding.
  • Must hold advanced TIG welding qualification
  • Good verbal communication. (English)
  • Must be organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Forklift License would be an advantage
  • Follow safe work practices and report workplace hazards
  • Ability to work off drawings, reading instructions and follow direction
  • Must have eye for detail
  • Must have Australian work rights
