About Us?The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.
The Paediatric Services team aim is to support parents, infants and children from preconception and early pregnancy through to middle childhood (12 years of age) to enhance family functioning and promote childhood development and parental wellbeing.
About the Role?As a Speech Pathologist within our team, you will provide culturally appropriate services as part of a multi- disciplinary team. Our services are provided within a system of care that walks alongside clients in their health journey. We have a full-time permanent position servicing MATSICHS Clinics across the Moreton Bay region.
What does it look like to be an IUIH Speech Pathologist?
- Work collaboratively within an interprofessional team of health care professionals including: Occupational Therapists, Physios, EPs, Paed Nurses, GPs, AHWs, Paediatricians, and more. As a collaborative team we work together to provide client-centred care.
- Work in a variety of settings such as primary health care clinics, kindergartens, and other community settings.
- Opportunity to develop both Adult and Paediatric skills by maintaining a diverse caseload across the lifespan.

Mandatory Requirement
- Current QLD Drivers Licence
- Current Blue Card and Disability Worker Screening Check (must have prior to commencement)
- Current Criminal History Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Speech Pathology Australia Membership
- Relevant degree in Speech Pathology
Desirable, but not mandatory:
- Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities
