Therapywell, a leading multidisciplinary practice across 2 locations, Mount Gravatt and Auchenflower, seeks an enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with Mental Health experience, or an Advanced Speech Pathologist (Mental Health) to join our dedicated team.

About the Role

As a Speech Pathologist at Therapywell, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Client Engagement: Build strong, empathetic relationships with clients through individual or group therapy sessions.
  • Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' needs and functional challenges.
  • Treatment Implementation: Create and deliver client-centered, strengths-based treatment plans, adjusting them as necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to enhance client care through shared insights and case discussions.
  • Professional Development: Benefit from regular clinical supervision and diverse learning opportunities, including workshops and seminars.
What We Offer
  • Flexible Employment: Permanent part-time or full-time roles available.
  • Competitive Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 pa + Super, depending on experience.
  • Convenient Location: Work in a location convenient to you across either or both Mount Gravatt or the inner city suburb of Auchenflower, with free parking and accessible public transport.
  • Professional Growth: Regular 1:1 supervision with our Director and Advanced Speech Pathologist (Mental Health), Kym Robinson, who trained in Boston with Michelle Garcia Winner in the Clinical Social Thinking Program, has over 30 years of experience in mental health, neurodiversity, developmental and forensic speech pathology. You will also access ongoing training and development opportunities.

Key Qualifications and Skills
  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Eligibility for Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Previous experience working in the areas of disability and/or mental health is beneficial.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience across the lifespan and in multidisciplinary settings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and willingness to learn new approaches.

  • Current Criminal Record Screening (Police Clearance/Check - less than 3 months old).
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • NDIS Working Screener (Yellow Card).
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • AHPRA Registration.
