Head Chef/Catering Chef – Finn & Co Café Emu Plains

Finn & Co Emu Plains is on the lookout for a passionate, skilled, and reliable Head Chef to join our vibrant and fast-paced café

We're a locally loved café, open Monday to Saturday, 5:30am – 2:00pm, serving up a seasonal all-day brunch menu that champions fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Alongside our busy café service, we also run a thriving catering operation, delivering everything from finger food to large-scale event spreads – and we're growing fast.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, is confident working both independently and as part of a tight-knit team, and can take the lead in both café service and catering. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, solid organisation skills, and a genuine love for good food done well. You must also be able to work across both our café locations (Emu Plains & Springwood) when required.

What You'll Bring:

  • At least 4 years' experience in a busy café or restaurant kitchen
  • Experience leading a small kitchen team, managing prep lists and service
  • Confidence in menu development and costing
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, high-turnover kitchen
  • Strong communication, time management, and food safety knowledge
  • A positive attitude and willingness to jump between café service and catering demands
