Sydney NSW, Australia Tiny's Sandwich Bar Full time $75,000 - $80,000 per year

Tiny's Sandwich Bar is looking for an experienced Chef to join our team This is a full-time, ongoing position, working 38 hours per week, based in Sydney CBD, NSW.

The Chef will be responsible for the following duties:

· Support the management of kitchen staff and operations to ensure efficiency during peak service periods.

· Collaborate and help the Head Chef on menu planning and monthly specials with a focus on quality and seasonality.

· Supervise food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistent quality across all dishes.

· Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, streamlining workflows and minimising waste.

· Help the Head Chef to design and develop seasonal menus, special event menus, and chef's specials.

· Plan, organise, and execute catering orders for both corporate and private events.

· Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards in compliance with food safety regulations.

· Train and mentor new chefs on kitchen procedures, recipes, and collaborative teamwork.

· Contribute to the restaurant's growth by enhancing customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.

· Strengthen leadership, culinary expertise, and operational management skills in a high-pressure kitchen environment.

What we're looking for:

  • At least 3 years of professional culinary experience, including some experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory if you have sufficient experience.
  • A valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or equivalent) and a solid understanding of NSW hygiene standards.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
