ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be based at our Archerfield office and will be responsible for the timely allocation of work to our owner drivers. You will work closely with our Operations Manager, responding to and resolving driver issues and communicating with our customer service team to keep our clients informed every step of the way. Allied Express uses a modern despatch system allocating work to drivers via handheld PDAs.

ABOUT YOU

Current experience as a fleet controller / despatcher is preferred.

·       Broad understanding of Southeast Queensland.

·       Ideal – _experience with courier fleet, experience managing offsite vehicles ranging from 1 Tonne Vans through to Semi Trailers.

·       Can work collaboratively within a team first environment.

·       Experience dealing with trucks and truck drivers preferred.

·       Excellent knowledge of COR

·       Have an eye for detail.

·       Thrive on making things happen.

·       Have Customer Service / Client Care.

·       Have empathy for our owner drivers and the conditions they work under.

·       Display enthusiasm, have a hard-working can-do attitude, with a willingness to learn and go the extra mile.

·       Have excellent communication and organisational skills, including written and spoken English.

·       Have a high level of self-confidence and the drive to succeed in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

·       You must be adaptable, quick thinking and a great problem solver.
